Verizon Brings Back "Unlimited" Data Plan Starting Tomorrow for $80

Verizon Brings Back

Verizon has announced that the network will offer a plan starting Monday that provides unlimited data on smartphones and tablets on the 4G LTE network.

Sprint is now offering a new unlimited data plan with up to five lines for $90 per month. While five lines are advertised, purchasing one to four lines is allowed-and it doesn't matter if it's family members or friends as long as each person falls under one bill.

This will entitle the subscriber to get the first line for just $50 each month. Verizon claims it has been working "tirelessly but quietly" to deliver a new unlimited plan designed for "power users" and meant to eliminate concerns about exceeding data caps. Other monthly charges apply. AT&T customer? AT&T only offers unlimited data plans if you sign up for DIRECTV or U-verse TV - with a minimum of $50/month. Apparently, this deal where you can sign up to five lines under the $90 per month plan will be running for about one year, with the carrier set to end on March 31, 2018.

Sprint hopes to rank higher among national carriers with this $90/month offer, but its infrastructure and service represent a major obstacle. After the promotional period is over, customers will pay the additional $10/month for first line, the second line remains at $40/month and each of lines 3-5 are $30/month - with AutoPay.

The rest of the fine print is similar to T-Mobile: video streams at up to 480p+ resolution, music streams at up to 500 Kbps, and games stream at up to 2 Mbps.

"Sprint understands the value of unlimited data to our customers", said Roger Solé, Sprint chief marketing officer.

If you don't want to sign-up for a Verizon unlimited plan, they will still offer S, M, and L Verizon plans. "So why not use your wireless device to its full potential to enjoy things you love like Snapchat, social media, Twitter, watching video, texting and calling - all on our highly reliable high-speed network".
